Your Privacy is extremely important to us. This privacy policy governs your use of the browser extension and website Mel Says.... (henceforth the “Application”). By using our Application and submitting data to Mel Says...., whether through the Application or other methods like email, you understand and accept our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of the terms listed below, or found in our Terms and Conditions, you should not use the Mel Says... Application and associated services.
The Application obtains the information you submit when you access, use and register with the Application.
By registering and using the Application, you will usually provide (a) your name, email address, password and other registration information; (b) transaction-related information, such as when you make purchases, respond to any offers, or download or use the Application; (c) information you provide us when you contact us for help; (d) credit card information for creating a subscription to use the Application, and; (e) information you enter into our system when using the Application, most notably the alerts you create to send to your followers.
We may also use the information provided to us to improve our services and to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
Users consent to their name & email being shared with the owners of any other accounts they receive Mel Says... notifications from (ie. accounts you have opted in to follow). If you send notifications yourself through the Mel Says... application, you will also have access to a directory of your followers on the platform (*subject to service plan selected). Users undertake to adhere to privacy laws and anti-spam legislation when making any use of contact details collected via the Application.
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, Mel Says... feature usage and engagement (for example, the number of alerts created or the number of times you click on alerts).
We may pass data to external providers in order to enhance our Application and the services we offer. Your personal details will only be shared with third parties according to this privacy policy document. We may disclose User Provided and / or Automatically Collected Information:
Mel Says... does not store or process credit or debit card information. Mel Says... uses PayPal to process all payments and it is PayPal that encrypts, processes, and stores such data for all transactions you undertake with Mel Says....
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application or maintain your account with us and for a reasonable time thereafter and / or as required of us by law.
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us.
This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically and for any reason. You are advised to refer back to this Privacy Policy regularly to review any changes, as continued use of the Application is deemed to be approval of all such changes.
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing," means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in Europe.
